What's new in flick
Every release on the Mac App Store, newest first.
Email, Send this tab, Recents, and rules that follow you.
- Email routing. Make flick your default email app and every address you click gets the picker. Mail, Outlook and Spark open directly; Gmail, Outlook.com, Outlook for work or school, Yahoo Mail and Fastmail compose in the browser you choose. Rules can match the recipient's domain.
- Send this tab. Control Option S sends the page you are reading to another browser, from Safari, Chrome, Brave, Edge, Arc, Vivaldi, Opera and more. Safari gets a Send to flick button in its toolbar.
- Recents and Spotlight. Every link flick routes, searchable by site, destination and the app it came from. Turn on Remember full links, off by default, to keep whole links, reopen them, and find them in Spotlight on macOS 15 or later.
- Link unwrapping. Outlook Safe Links, Google and Facebook redirects and AMP pages open as the real page, before any rule sees them. Free for everyone.
- Rules that travel. Turn on Sync rules with iCloud and your rules follow you to your other Macs. Only the rules sync, never your history.
- Control Center. On macOS 26, Send This Tab, Route Copied Links, Recents and Today in Links are buttons you can add to Control Center.
- Rules pinned to an app. github.com from Slack can open somewhere other than github.com from anywhere else, and the pinned rule always wins.
- Focus filters. Each Focus can choose its own browser, and an active Focus decides before work hours do.
- Shortcuts and Spotlight actions for opening a link, showing the picker for a link, routing copied links, Send This Tab, Recents and Today in Links.
- Make it a rule now says when the free limit is reached instead of doing nothing, Link Scan never calls a site safe that it could not reach, and setting the default browser tells you when macOS refuses.
- VoiceOver labels throughout, Reduce Motion respected in more places, and the on device answers come back in your language.
- Windows open centred on the screen you are using, the setup guide is clearer in every language, and the menu bar panel is quieter.
- A new app icon.
- 1.0.2July 2026
flick in nine languages.
- flick now speaks Spanish, French, German, Simplified Chinese, Japanese, Brazilian Portuguese, Italian and Korean, with a language picker in Settings, General.
- The picker appears straight away on the first click of the day, because the scan for installed apps no longer runs in its way.
- Link Scan reads at most 16 KB of a page and never follows a link into your own network.
- The flick Pro window loads its plans again after a failed attempt, and an ended subscription is noticed without a relaunch.
- Today in Links shows today's numbers every time it opens.
- Settings, the tour and Today in Links no longer stay above other apps' windows.
- When the on device model cannot help, flick uses your Claude key if you have added one.
- A new app icon.

The picker, rules, and a router that learns.
- Set flick as your default browser once, and every link you click anywhere on your Mac goes where you want it.
- The picker appears at your cursor, keyboard first: 1 to 9 open, arrows and Return choose, Esc cancels.
- Rules by site and by path, and rules you write in plain English.
- Links for Teams, Zoom, Figma, Notion, Spotify, Linear and Discord can open the app itself instead of a tab.
- The picker learns the browser you usually choose for a site, and can open near certain links silently, always with an undo.
- Link Scan resolves shorteners and flags lookalike domains before you open them, and tracking parameters are stripped on the way.
- Today in Links, Route Copied Links, and a local MCP server so agents open links through your rules.
- Every Pro feature free for 14 days, no account and no card.
